Why Giving Matters

Supporters of the Prempeh College Endowment Fund believe in a public secondary school that develops young men who work for their country, instead of the country working for them.  When you make a gift to the fund, you are advancing the idea that access to excellent education can and should exist for all who are qualified to share in that dream. You are also encouraging our teachers, students and community at large to keep moving forward in their pursuit of solutions to the great challenges of our time.

The Prempeh Endowment Fund recognizes the Donor Bill of Rights to ensure that our donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in giving to the areas they support.  For more information, please visit our Donor Privacy Page.

img-20161214-wa0006As a young boy my desire to enroll as a student of Prempeh College, while primarily premised on the academic reputation of the school, was influenced by the quality of graduates that the institution churned out. The older generation made the school an enviable one in the country. In my view, the school prepared its students to become stalwarts in their chosen disciplines while setting an important example of discipline, caring and support for others. It is on the basis of this score that I have chosen to contribute towards the endowment fund. It is my fervent hope that my meagre contribution will go towards maintaining the academic standards of the school and pave the way for eligible students across the country to benefit from the academic foundation and discipline that I enjoyed as a student.

“The great use of life is to spend it for something that outlasts it”-William JamesPrempeh College gave me the educational foundation as a young boy. A foundation grounded in the spirit of contributing and service to society and country. A foundation informed and in essence captured in the school’s motto of “Suban Ne Nimdee”.It is the continuation of this spirit that has awakened in me the need to contribute to the Global Endowment Fund to afford the next generation of young boys who will be lucky to be passing through the halls and corridors of the great Prempeh College the opportunity to attain even greater heights. “The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you don’t expect to sit”-Nelson Henderson.

My time at Prempeh College significantly influenced who I am and have become. I’d like to give back and ensure that the opportunity is available to other young students of today.

He believes it is important to give back to society; doing so through endowing a scholarship would have a more lasting impact.
